Woodinville's unique character is brought to life by its identity as a world-renowned winery destination located in the picturesque Sammamish River Valley. Winemakers and grapes, farms and chefs, bicyclists and breweries, gardeners and greenery, they’ve all found a home here.

Woodinville is home to nearly half of all winery’s northeast of Seattle. Many of Woodinville's more than 100 wineries, cideries, and distilleries offer tastings, winemaker dinners, clubs, and special events. Throughout the year, there are many events sponsored by individual wineries and other larger events sponsored by local community and business organizations.

Just 30 minutes from Seattle, Woodinville offers a peaceful escape in the scenic Sammamish River Valley. Known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, it's a haven for wine lovers, food enthusiasts, and nature seekers. With over 130 wineries spread across four distinct districts—as well as craft breweries, distilleries, and cideries—Woodinville boasts a vibrant tasting scene.

The town’s culinary offerings range from fine dining to food trucks, with many spots embracing true farm-to-table fare thanks to the fertile local land. Visitors can enjoy live music, outdoor adventures like hiking and biking, or take in the valley views on a hot air balloon ride.

Vine Valley

Trails:

  • Sammamish River Trial is a paved path perfect for walking, biking, or running, stretching for over 10 miles. The trail runs along the Sammamish River from Blyth Park in Bothell to Marymoor Park in Redmond as part of the “Locks to Lakes Corridor.” It connects to the Burke-Gilman Trail at its northwestern end, and to the Redmond Central Connector at its southeastern end.
  • Paradise Valley Conservation Area offers multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. This park with wetland, stream & forest environments offers wildlife viewing. Dogs allowed.

Equestrian Activities:

Hot Air Ballons:

  • Over The Rainbow offers majestic hot air balloon rides. Providing scenic views of the Sammamish River Valley and surrounding areas.

Parks:

  • Wilmot Gateway Park is a popular spot with a playground, picnic areas, and access to the Sammamish River Trail. 
  • Cottage Lake Park offers a lake, playground, and open space for recreation.

Wineries and Breweries

  • Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a must-visit for wine tasting and enjoying the scenic grounds. The summer concert series is a must do!
  • Explore many local breweries, such as the small independent Watts Brewing Company. Many offering outdoor seating with family friendly activities.
